My car is registered but I rarely drive it. Do I need to insure it?
Auto
Yes. Quebec’s Automobile Insurance Act requires the owner of a car driven in Quebec to carry at least $50,000 in civil liability. The fine is at least $325. If you won’t use it for a while, you can put it in storage (remisage) with the SAAQ.
A general answer. Your policy always has the final say.
