What is the description of the private portions?

Home

It’s the syndicate’s document describing the basic unit its insurance covers: floors, cabinets, finishes. Anything better than that, added by you or a previous owner, must be insured under your own policy. It’s often called the reference unit.

A question about your own policy?

This site explains the general rules. Only your insurer can say what your policy covers: ask your agent or broker. This site doesn’t make recommendations. To choose coverage, also talk to a certified professional.
